GIRL FRIDAY ♥ LIZ TAYLOR AUCTION 1

The auction for (exquisite fashion/the best) items from Elizabeth Taylor's personal collection is about to start and I wanted to showcase this woman's amazing style and taste. Elizabeth Taylor was an alien, and I mean that in the best way. She was an impeccable artist, one of the best at her craft. She's in so many of my all-time favorite movies including "Giant" (with Rock Hudson and James Dean) and "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" (with gorgeous Paul Newman) and "Butterfield 8" (which is just as good or better than "Breakfast at Tiffany's"...I'll do a post on it soon). And this lady LIVED. I did a post on her passing, but this post is about looking at her through her goods and they are some of the best goods on the planet. I still cannot believe she is gone.

The auction is being done through Christie's and takes place later this month. You can view details here. Let's have a look at some of the choice pieces from the collection. If you didn't know about Elizabeth Taylor or you thought she was just some old actress, think again. This woman was amazing and a true TRUE style icon. The auction is broken into different parts: THE LEGENDARY JEWELRY, THE COLLECTION OF LIZ TAYLOR (MORE JEWELRY), THE ICON AND HER HAUTE COUTURE, FASHION AND ACCESSORIES, and FINE AND DECORATIVE ART & FILM MEMORABILIA INCLUDING COSTUMES.
